WHY OUR PRESCHOOL IS UNIQUE

Our Mission Statement

Kids @ Play Preschool will provide a developmentally appropriate learning environment where we recognize that the emotional, social, physical and intellectual needs of all children must be met in a safe, challenging, creative, and nurturing environment.

Kids @ Play understands that play is the work of children and essential to a child’s well being. Through play-based opportunities we will foster self-esteem, competence, critical thinking, problem solving and leadership in an environment that includes structured, routine and open-ended classroom activities.

At Kids@Play we are more than just child care, we purposely offer programs that are part day – just the right length of time for your child to learn, develop social skills and have fun!

Philosophy

At our school we encourage children to utilize their unique talents to observe, converse and reflect while learning respect and responsibility in each play opportunity.

How We Meet Each Child’s Needs

  • Each child will be encouraged to take risks, use reflection, observation, conversation and collaboration
  • Each child is unique and special; Respect, Responsibility and Community are key learning components
  • Each child will be exposed to a variety of play opportunities that encourage social emotional development
  • Each child has the right to be challenged as they continue to learn and grow
  • Each child has the right to express imagination and natural curiosity about the world around them
  • Fine motor, gross motor and regulation skills are foundational in the development of academics
